And keeping things close...
So finally the confrontation of the garbage that has been coming out of the old X-O writing has come to meet its maker - and it comes inside the envelope of this transitional - close up the last writing - and give a nod of the head to the whole SOLAR thing that had been written, as well. Thankfully. At least the comic took some responsibility for the whole garbage fest that Unity had become - and the real lack of continuity to the feel at the beginning of the series. A mosque? And a retrospective on issues that really happened last month? Are there that many people who really missed out on the close stuff from the last few? Or is it really trying to start linking together the flow of this universe? Either way - be glad that it's over. What's next? Bringing in a popular guest star? Oh. I see.
Not a bad transition back.
Captain America and Iron Man both were rather painful to read in much of this era, that's for certain. But it's nice to see that some of the comic has taken a sharp turn to the better here. The character has been written with those stupid LMD... And that is gone here - thank goodness. And the comic really has a nice, long origin story of the Controller, here. Really developed throughout the story - and real history - even if a bit unbelievable. Kinda looked a lot like Frankenstein's monster - but the story isn't a bad one. Even if those little disc on the head things are ridiculous. The art is pretty good, again. Certainly taking a few lessons from the old Tales comics.
