In quite a few ways this really harkened back to much of the old guard of the series. It relly brought a lot of heart back into the lines of the story. I was able to really feel the lines of the story. On the backdrop of something so steeply based in serious violence - that is a sharp turn - and really works with much of the entirety of the story. It is refreshing stuff in here. I liked the interactions - especially between Bloodshot and the dog. Love the dog, right? Not a big fan of the deep wrinkling in some of the characters in Guedes's art - but really bothered me most (only) with some of the old Rising Spirit characters. The book felt like it was reaching back into much of the older parts of the story - even going back into the first part of the Bloodshot run. It also gave me a moment to really remember and fell for many of the old Bloodshot duplicates/replicants. Good work on Lemire's writing. Of course.
