I loved that Acclaim really had a specific look at what and where the line was going. Even though the whole Shadowman thing was a big mess, and Trinity Angels was WAY too trashy, much of the rest of it was really working. Well. The line up here was excellent. Well established - and most of what is within the entirety of the story works. The 'comic' is more a newspaper. Anyone know where this was intended to be distributed? The back page has a section for autographs. That's what made me most curious.
I liked the origin of the new Black Knight
I can remember back to when I first picked up some comics - and Avengers 273 with Black Knight on the cover was one of them. So I always had a soft spot in my heart for the old guy. And reading this story was quite a cool experience. While the 'original' black Knight was a cooler looking guy - even Janet makes a reference to his kooky helmet - this was a great story. Especially when the story doesn't really bring him into the folds of the Avengers - it just sets him up as a hero for the future pages of the Avengers. The story also keeps the background stories boiling, too. The Magneto story, the Herc one, and even the Cap on are all still cooking away. The sideline introduction to Wasp and Pym in Vegas was a little too unbelievable, but I do like this phase of moving back and forth between Ant-Man and Goliath. And the future references to Pym's later inability to change back and forth - not certain where this was decided... But it works well now!
