I liked most of the SOLAR run. This comic doesn't feel like most SOLAR comics - of course it's in the middle of the Chaos Effect, and like a few of the other comics, it encompasses more of the larger scope - and that can be a very good thing. I can see the effective connection to the future, too. That is a great idea. Now, I wish that the connection had been made before the Destroyer had effectively been eliminated, but it still works. The comic doesn't work well as a SOLAR comic, but effectively fits into the Chaos Effect. I also liked the Archer & Armstrong appearance, but maybe just for the reference to the Magnus/SOLAR joke about Armstrong not being able to tell the difference.
Black Cat?
Nope. A cat burglar. I was talking to my brother last night, and mentioned that you could tell pretty early on in most Spider-Man comics whether it was worth it or not. Yes, it isn't. This comic is a tremendous waste of time. Bleah. I found myself going on fast-forward for most of the issue. It is too bad, because of of Spidey's strengths was its ability to see into the real lives of characters - and much of this issue does - even if it ends up badly for the characters. It is just un-compelling. Spidey can't defeat a cat burglar for a small reward? And three cops on the beat do? Jonah is happy, at least.
